Established in 2010, Mongolian National Rare Earth Corp LLC (MNREC) has been actively engaged in geological exploration and strategic mining investment. The company is currently focused on the Khalzan Buregtei Rare Earth Elements (REE) Project, located in Myangad soum, Khovd province.
The Khalzan Buregtei Project is one of six REE deposits registered with the Mineral Resource Fund of Mongolia and contains the largest reserves among them, accounting for approximately 50% of the total. It is a heavy rare earth deposit at an advanced stage of exploration, with demand in the global market steadily increasing.
As the project developer, MNREC has prepared an NI 43-101-compliant Preliminary Feasibility Study (PFS, 2024), validating the concept for a mine with a production lifespan exceeding 30 years, including beneficiation and primary processing facilities. The Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) is currently underway.
